My latest home theater
My latest home theater Video Clips. Duration : 1.75 Mins.
Not so admiring video, but my new almost ready home theater. Today first time picture on the screen and 5.1 set working and almost adjusted. The sub is still all over the place. A little bit cabel maganementing and sorts of cleaning to do :) And of course, better darkening. Speakers are Wharfedale 9.5, 9.2, 9.CM and SW-250. Amp is Denon AVR-1909. Projector is Optoma HD700X and sources are, PS3, XO and Wii. HTPC on its way.

Audioholics has reviewed 3D projectors in the past, but this one is from Acer, a company well-known for their notebooks, netbooks and PCs... but they also have a line of excellent projectors. Well, excellent if you're really into black levels and have a budget of around 00. But let's back up. We took on this review because Acer is a company we've had a lot of contact with in the past. Let's face it, they make some really excellent products in the PC world and they have a reputation for value. What we didn't know was how well the H9500BD would hold up to the rather wide playing field of competitive products - I mean, there are a lot of projectors in that price range. The Masquerade™ is a single-motor system with a native aspect ratio of 16:9 with top and bottom masks that will eliminate those annoying black bars on blockbuster films like Spiderman, The Lord of the Rings, The Bourne Ultimatum, and many other exciting widescreen movies. The Masquerade™ is a beautifully engineered system, handcrafted with the precision and attention to detail that Carada is well known for. Some of the other masking systems currently on the market have various brackets and bolts visible on their exteriors, have flat-faced frames that are unattractively butted or overlapped at the corners, and are non-symmetrical by design (the top, bottom, and side pieces are of different widths). Sure they do the job they're designed to do, but when the lights come up frankly they arent much to look at. Our masking system has no unsightly brackets or bolt heads visible from the outside of the fascia. The frame is fully symmetrical with a nice beveled front fascia which is precisely mitered at the corners, and comes standard with our Black Hole™ trim (an extra-cost option on some competitors systems!) Simply put, the Masquerade™ will look as beautiful as the rest of your theater. And the Masquerade™ is built to last with custom-designed heavy-duty aluminum ...
